Grace by Jeff Buckley
Jan 25 2023

First Listen: Very emotional album; holistic, somber, yet powerful vocals; great instrumentals and production; Favorite tracks: "Last Goodbye", "Hallelujah", "Dream Brother", "Lover, You Should've Come Over", "Forget Her"; Second Listen: TBW

Raw Power by The Stooges
Jan 26 2023

First Listen: -Performances: This is one of those albums that keep telling me you don’t have to have a great voice to make great music. Iggy’s voice really rides the guitar in most of tracks, the wails in “Your Pretty Face” and “Penetration” are just awesome! I also love how he uses a lower tone in “Shake Appeal” and “Death Trip”. -Production: Iggy’s mix of the album can really turn some people deaf, not gonna lie. While I think his version of mix goes well with the tone and overall sound that the goes for, his wails and the guitar solos can really be a turn off to the album. It’s not a big deal, just a little nitpick. Comparing that to David Bowie’s mix, it’s not even a debate that Iggy’s version is superior. Bowie’s mixing takes away many of characteristics that make the album “the album”, I can appreciate that he was attempting to make The Stooges seem accessible to the but all it does put the band down for most pf the record, have the guitar and Iggy’s voice only heard, just to have them EQ’d the shit of them. Still didn’t stop me from enjoying the album again though. Score: light to decent 7

Rubber Soul by Beatles
Jan 27 2023

•Performances: John and Paul are perfect match vocally in this album! Compared to the group’s first four albums, “Rubber Soul” is the Beatles in more matured period of their lives. “Drive My Car” is wonderful opener with probably the most hooky chorus in the album, “Nowhere Man” is a campy tune from John and Paul, and “Michelle” is, melodically, the most beautiful song in the record. •Production: When I read the title, I thought it was going to be something along the lines of Amy Winehouse’s type of sound, but it’s probably closer to what I hear in Tame Impala’s music: psychedelic rock music in its most primitive state. The use of the sitar in the album brings out that sound without using much effects and reverb. Score: strong 7 to a light 8

Rattus Norvegicus by The Stranglers
Jan 30 2023

Castlevania-like music, second half of the lost my interest, plus some vocals were just weird

Out Of The Blue by Electric Light Orchestra
Jan 31 2023

BEAUTIFUL!!! That’s all that’s need to be said about this album

Closer by Joy Division
Feb 01 2023

This is a weird kind of dark, mainly because of singer’s voice and the production, still pretty good

Giant Steps by The Boo Radleys
Feb 02 2023

Bloated listen, I love the production and lyrics but it’s a long listen

Nilsson Schmilsson by Harry Nilsson
Feb 20 2023

YOU PUT THE LIME IN THE COCONUT AND TAKE IT ALL ROUND

Natty Dread by Bob Marley & The Wailers
Feb 21 2023

Great production, though vocally I think it’s not Bob’s best

In Rainbows by Radiohead
Aug 28 2025

Transcendental! The best album in the band's discography and has been the one I come back to the most. Yorke's vocals and songwriting have never been so mesmerizing and transcending. The production in the throughout the album resembles that of the cover: ethereal, spacious, and yet very grand. This is a 10/10 album. Favorite tracks: 15 Step, Bodysnatchers, Nude, Weird Fishes/ Arpeggi, Reckoner, House of Cards, Jigsaw Falling into Place
