The YoungbloodsI wish I could fistfight this band. Wild swings between lounge jazz and Rollin’ Stones-esque tracks left me borderline furious due to the cocktease of semi-good rock and the worst jazz I’ve heard.

One of the best voices of the 20th century, carrying even weaker songs with it. Some less interesting tracks coupled with powerful songs. Tracks I liked: Four Women Lilac Wine
Every song in this album makes me feel like it’s the start of a movie where the hard-drinking Southern boy with the flag in his truck rear window accidentally kills a man in a drunken fist fight. Maybe it’s the age of the album, maybe it’s all been done to death now. Still no reason to listen to this in 2023. Tracks to check out: Master of Sparks
Iconic album with plenty of bangers. I’m not a metal or a rock fan but this is a really accessible album and a lot of fun. Tracks I liked: Sad But True Wherever I May Roam Nothing Else Matters The Unforgiven
A bit of a snoozer, no great songs but no bad songs. A little too short and nothing stands out.
Started off strong and pretty enjoyable, but (in my opinion) fell into the same trap of all 90’s rave music and became fairly repetitive. Some good beats anyway. Tracks I liked: Block Rockin’ Beats Where Do I Begin The Private Psychedelic Reel

Sad, white man wanking music. I love it immensely.
The bangers were banging and the rest were fairly unimpressive. Overall a let down while not being bad
Heroin music that goes on way too long. Likely the single album that caused the shift to 3-4 minute songs
Way better than I was expecting. Money For Nothing, Walk of Life and Brothers in Arms are still classics (not that I knew they were Dire Straits before this).
What the fuck
3 hours long. Have some self respect and use your time better
Not what I expected and a pleasant surprise. It might be higher on a second listen in all honesty.
A whole extra point added to this score because of how good two songs are. Time of the Season is an all-time vibe song, and Butchers Tale really surprised me. Overall, a tepid album that should’ve been lost to the ages without TotS
