Head Hunters
Herbie HancockFunky. Jazzy. Electronic. I would rate this as a 5/5, even if it is not the kind of album I will be drawn back to. It was unpredictable yet still very melodic.

A raucuous, riot of a good time. The songs can tend to blend together, and the lyrics are (understandably) a bit juvenile at times, but the energy is contagious.
Paint it Black is pure brilliance, but the rest of the album is full of mediocre midtempo numbers with insipid lyrics and derivative blues rifts. There are a few exceptions of great storytelling (Mother's Little Helper), but also a few too many songs that overdose on their own misogyny (Stupid Girl and Under my Thumb are particularly bad in this regard).
Good music. High energy. Okay lyrics.
A raucous, melodic good time. Melodies and countermelodies balance the punk aggression without muting it in the slightest.
