1001 Albums Summary

Banger Sabbath album.

Not an every day album, but definitely has a time and place to be ideal listening.

Not for me. Don’t mind there sound, but others have done it better. It’s like they’re trying too hard vibe wise while doing the bare minimum instrumentally/musically.

Pretty cheesy album. Beats were the best part. I’m sure this was revolutionary for middle and high school kids in 2004, but doesn’t really age well in my opinion.

This is music for a very specific subset of white people. In another life I could have been that, but alas I am not in this one. So I thought it wasn’t the best. Due to the difference in all the songs it seems like all members had their own input/preferences, interesting they could collaborate in this way if that’s the case. Inner flight 0:50 - 2:00 sounds like it could be the theme music in a Final Fantasy 7-10 cave though so that was cool.

First album with Dickinson on vocals and he really fit the part well. Grew up with this album and haven’t listened in quite a while, but I’m glad I did because it still rules. It’s definitely got a more “epic” sound/feel than their previous two, but I’m guessing it’s due to the new vocal style. One thing I always liked is that even though the guitars are riffing prominently, they still manage to get the bass to the front and the parts really complete the song in my opinion.
