The Doors by The Doors
Mar 13 2023

Great album! I can hear the influences of 60's blues all over the place, also a little bit of The Beatles? Loved "Soul Kitchen" specially.

New York Dolls by New York Dolls
Mar 14 2023

Finally heard were Vietnamese Baby came from xD Kidding aside, I see the appeal even as someone who doesn't listen to Rock often. The topics of lust and addiction are dealt with very well and with some remarkable guitar riffs I need to look into.

Fragile by Yes
Jun 20 2023

What an amazing album. Each song feels like a journey, with some breaks along the way to catch your breath. All the instruments are on point. Just great. Highlights include Roundabout and Heart of the Sunrise for me, but they are all amazing in their own way.

Revolver by Beatles
Jun 25 2023

Not as good as Abbey Road, but still as some nice ones in there. To not be basic ans just mention Yellow Submarine, I specially liked I'm Only Sleeping, a very trippy vibe overall, and Good Day Sunshine. Well, these guys really like to sing about the Sun.

Stand! by Sly & The Family Stone
Jun 26 2023

Yes lawd, free the oppressed! The soulful performance right from the get go captured my attention with Stand! and the second track, setting the stage for the rest of the album, a groovy, soulful, religious call for equality that is very interesting to analyse hearing it in 2023. Despite a lot of progress, we're still a long way from truly respecting each other as we all deserve. Let's continue to make the world a better place, an album at a time.

Bayou Country by Creedence Clearwater Revival
Jun 27 2023

There is something interesting here, but I'm probably missing something for being too young, non-American or both. Either way, the raw feeling of these songs are not easily found anywhere else. Specially Bootleg, but I guess that was the point. Either way, some worthy mentions are Graveyard Train, for the perfect haunting vibe it transmits, and Good Golly Miss Molly, that guitar riff makes me wanna dance. Proud Mary was also nice, but it may also just be bias from the countless covers I have heard before. Overall a great album.
