On The Beach by Neil Young
May 16 2023

Wasn't into it at first but it grew on me as I went along. It's an interesting album, at times it's almost like psychedelic country music which is something I can get behind. Not the biggest fan of Neils voice but it is quite soothing at times. Favourite song: Vampire Blues.

May 18 2023

Who knew I’d like Elton John? Not me. But this album had some banging tunes. Fav track: Bennie and the Jets.

Unknown Pleasures by Joy Division
May 25 2023

I enjoyed this album more than I expected, but was it enough to make me dig out the Unknown Pleasures T Shirt my auntie unknowingly bought me? Nah. A bit too droney for my taste.

Ace of Spades by Motörhead
May 26 2023

The opening track, Ace of Spades, very much sets the tone for the rest of the album - which is just more Ace of Spades. Not that that is a bad thing. Very questionable lyrics on the 8th track, Jailbait... and for that it gets only a 3. Best track is ofc Ace of Spades.

Elephant by The White Stripes
May 29 2023

Solid album, start to finish. Fav track: Hardest Button to Button.

May 30 2023

Incredible album that has held up far better than most albums of its era. The influence this album had on modern hip hop is clear. Best track is hard to say, but Can I Kick It will always hold a special place for me.

The Dreaming by Kate Bush
May 31 2023

Borderline unlistenable, experimental trip that was 20% soothing and 80% pure chaos. Really did feel like dreaming.

Doggystyle by Snoop Dogg
Jun 01 2023

Classic G Funk beats, Snoops smooth style vocals, but the lyrical content is questionable.

The Köln Concert by Keith Jarrett
Jun 04 2023

Technically very impressive but just not my cup of tea

Lady In Satin by Billie Holiday
Jun 05 2023

It’s cute and a bit sleepy. She has a beautiful voice that is very soothing. The album was all very much the same thing though, which for an hour, is a too much.

Bryter Layter by Nick Drake
Jun 06 2023

Musically interesting, and the melancholy in his voice portrays a lot of emotion. His songwriting is certainly great.. but it’s not my vibe. There is very little variation. Fav Song: Hazy Jane II

Jun 07 2023

I just do not like his voice at all. It grates me. This is the first album I’ve come across so far that I couldn’t finish.
