Bridge Over Troubled Water
Simon & GarfunkelI'm less of a songs person than most. Love the chamber music flourishes here and there.

I heard this often as a child, as my parents had the cassette. Probably from the Columbia House record club. It's hard for me to comment on it solely as an album, as it is too wrapped up in nostalgia. I haven't heard some of these deep cuts for 30 years, but I still know every note.
Minus the other members of Wu-Tang, this ended up sounding a little same-y as the tracks wore on.
Tweedy's vocal delivery kept me from enjoying this one. Kotche's unorthodox percussion was interesting, though. Still not really a songs kind of guy.
I remember hearing Moondance covered by the college jazz band, which was my entree into the world of Van Morrison's music. That, and Jeff Buckley's cover of The Way Young Lovers Do. I think that's where my interest ends. The voice is unique and does not fall happily on these ears.
There's something magical about this era of French electronic music – it reached an international audience, sounded quite unlike anything else, and still sounds good today. Love the hyper, cut-up sounds made danceable.
did not enjoy this, as it sounds like someone asked AI to make a 70s rock album
Same vocal intervals on most songs?
Fantastic.
Not as bad as I thought it would be. Definitely of the era.
