1001 Albums Summary

This album has so much attitude. My quality of work skyrocketed while listening to F*ck Me Pumps. Funky. Bluesy. Love everything about this album. RIP.

Call it punk, call it pop, call it what you want. This album put Green Day on the map with banger after banger. 15 songs in 38 minutes?! For some reason anytime I listen to this album I want to start playing Tony Hawk Pro Skater and listen to this genre of music all day long. Album art 11/10

I went into this without doing any band research. I enjoyed this album right from the beginning. Groovy and full of 80’s rock/pop energy. The middle of the album changed its tone a bit. Gave the album a second listen. Easy listening but nothing special.

This album would have been 5 stars if it was written by Declan Patrick MacManus and not Elvis Costello. Walk into a Johnny Rockets or Hard Rock Café and I can guarantee you hear one of these songs playing. Middle of the road and as vanilla as it gets from the late 70's. Some good hits but nothing special.

Frank Ocean has a top tier voice. RnB and early Usher vibes from this album. If you are into this music I can easily see this being 4-5 stars.

The transition between classic rock and incorporating synth/industrial rock sounds is incredible. I'd love to hear Phil Collins talk about making this album. I think he hit the drum kit 17 times at most. As a huge Trent Reznor fan I can see where he may have found some inspiration from Eno. This album is awesome.

This was fun. Very upbeat and enjoyable to listen to. Seeing this live was probably an amazing experience.
