Doolittle by Pixies
Jun 06 2023

great songwriting and lyrics, fast paced and doesn’t linger on one idea for too long which works very well and keeps you engaged effortlessly

...And Justice For All by Metallica
Jun 07 2023

Angry as fuck with very hit-or-miss drumming. not their best but DEFINITELY not anywhere near their worst cuz blackened and frayed ends exist. great harmonies and james’ lyric writing is at one of its peaks for sure, I also really like the proggier angle to their metal with longer songs and diverse phrasing of riffs and passages

At Fillmore East by The Allman Brothers Band
Jun 08 2023

Not a blues-rock guy so the departures from that genre are very appreciated and whipping post always goes hard. Stormy Monday and Elizabeth Reed were also beautiful and the guitarwork was AMAZING this album reeeally gets a lot better the more u listen. The extended renditions of songs are super interesting and they are all playing out of their minds. Fav tracks: Stormy Monday, In Memory of Elizabeth Reed, Whipping Post

THIS SHIT IS SO CATCHY the grooves are astronomical idk this album scratches the exact itch in the brain that makes me want to pick up my guitar n jam. this is arctic monkeys at their finest along with their next LP. I forgot the singers name but i love his voice and inflections as usual. This album is just insanely solid and an indie rock mega classic. fav tracks: Perhaps Vampires is a Bit Strong but..., When The Sun Goes Down, I Bet You Look Good on the Dancefloor, A Certain Romance, Still Take You Home

Brothers In Arms by Dire Straits
Jun 10 2023

Falls off after the first three songs but a lot of classics on here and the occasional horn section on some tracks is very cool. Knopfler’s guitarwork is magnificent and his voice fits the music very well but still leaves a liiiiiittle to be desired for me. Ending the album on a somber note is a pretty neat choice and reading the lyrics for Brother In Arms made me a lil sad haha fav tracks: So Far Away, Money For Nothing, Walk Of Life, Brothers In Arms
