Channel Orange by Frank Ocean

I find this album overall boring? It doesn't sound bad at all! His voice is beautiful and the general sound is as well, I just don't find it exciting. I think I don't have nostalgia related to this album which makes my enjoyment less intense. Some very high highs and it was a relaxing nice listen. The Andre 3000 feature was awesome

Live! by Fela Kuti
Aug 27 2023

Listened to casually while riding my bike around a huge neighborhood yard sale. It was super fun and an interesting background soundtrack to my exploring. I would like to relisten actively!

Rio by Duran Duran
Aug 28 2023

Started strong, I kind of got bored. It eventually all kind of blended together. I love the iconic sound, but it's too much of the same content for me!

Electric Ladyland by Jimi Hendrix
Aug 29 2023

Did not like Little Miss Strange. It was randomly Beatle-esque and just didn't seem to flow well? I listened on the bus. It was beautiful and grating at some points. I enjoyed it a lot

A very unique and fun listen. The vocals were so beautiful and soothing. I think it reminded me of Oh Wonder?

L.A. Woman by The Doors

The beginning was good but I got bored eventually. Couldn't hold my attention. I like the grooviness

Bert Jansch by Bert Jansch

Surprisingly enjoyed. Folk music is not my forte. I think I'll keep delving into his music/this genre slowly

Beautiful amazing haunting. I accidentally got way too high before I rode my bike to target to wander around and listen to this and have some alone time. It was an experience lol. Very interesting juxtaposition. I love this classic

The College Dropout by Kanye West
Sep 05 2023

This album was not made for me. I didn't connect to it's religious motifs or personally relate to its description of black Americans culture, struggles, oppression. Absolutely not holding that against it, I didn't really care for his tone (it felt monotone and staccato in a bad way frequently) & the album was SO long. I don't want to rate the first non-rock album I finally get low but I just don't fuck with Kanyes less like "pop hits single on the radio" stuff (maybe with repeated listens but idk)

I See You by The xx

The first album I've gotten that I truly disliked. Very boring and basic

Wild Wood by Paul Weller

Absolute dad rock. A relaxing nostalgic vibe to listen to at my desk. Some drums and guitar riffs/solos I really enjoyed
