Surprisingly entertaining, I really had a good time listening to this. The mixing is a bit questionable but it didn't bother me... actually it helped me enjoy this record. It felt a lot more authentic. My only complaint is that it feels very one-dimentional and formulaic, so it's pretty easy to get bored. Also, the second half is so much worse than the first one.
Best song: My Generation

I mean it's pleasant to listen to, but after finishing it, I realised how there's nothing really memorable on this album, at least for me. I feel like it lacks of highlights. Great performances overall, and I like his voice. Sadly I'm also not a big fan of the scratchy production.
Best song: Let the Good Times Roll

What can I say? It's a really well made, beautifully crafted, charming indie pop rock album. This isn't just "the album with Lovefool in it". First Band on the Moon really sounds like the quintessential 90s indie album.
Best song: Been It

Even though their style can be found in many later bands, REM's debut still sounds pretty unique. This mix of jangle pop and alt rock with a lot of post punk influences really works and will set the tone for the 80s rock sound. It could sound a bit formulaic, and many people could get bored of it pretty quickly, but it's just so catchy. The vibe is unmatchable
Best song: Laughing

Surprisingly entertaining classic rock album. From the cover and the track names I was expecting some boring, sloppy heartland rock. Well, the lyrics were cringe-y at times, but the songs were all catchy and their sound actually felt authentic and full of passion. I can't say I'll come back to this very often, but I'm positively surprised.
Best song: American Girl
Great soft rock compositions, amazing vocal performance, simple yet effective songwriting: that's what makes Tapestry so special. You could listen to this album 1000 times and you would still vibe with it. Not a single song skipped and it's sad Carole King has only one popular album.
Best song: I Feel the Earth Move
Fav: tutte lol

Damn... it's raw.
I like it.
Emana anni 70 da tutti i pori.
Un disco solido, pop rock, un po' jazz a tratti, interessante ma assolutamente non il mio genere.
Non penso ci ritornerò mai.
