Popular Reviews

Vibes of country music, folk singing, was there a sea chanty? Linda Thompson’s voice was the highlight. “The End of the Rainbow” has lyrics that are utterly despondent. Wikipedia has it listed in some top 500 albums. 🤷‍♀️ but why?

Electric Warrior by T. Rex

The Bang a Gong guy! I remember loving this song when it came out. There a couple of songs I really liked on the album. Pretty neat that an interview was included. But overall, I didn’t really like the singer’s voice that much.

Cloud Nine by The Temptations
Sep 17 2023

Didn’t like. I guess I’m used to other versions of the songs.

Brothers In Arms by Dire Straits
Sep 20 2023

A couple of old songs I remembered but overall I didn’t like it. Lead singers voice kinda makes all songs too similar. Wouldn’t buy it.

Since I Left You by The Avalanches
Sep 21 2023

Not so much…🤷‍♀️ 🤷‍♀️

Electric Warrior by T. Rex

Licensed To Ill by Beastie Boys
Sep 23 2023

Glad it was on the list but will probably never Lito it again. Do they use the same beat for every rap?

Bad by Michael Jackson
Sep 24 2023

Michael Jackson-Bad I thought i knew all the songs but I was surprised I didn’t know/ remember a couple. Great album but I didn’t love every song.

Sep 25 2023

I thought I loved everything Eurythmics and/or Annie Lennox but this showed me that’s not true. I just about wore out my cassettes of Touch and Diva. Good times! I’d give it 3 1/2 if possible.

Bryter Layter by Nick Drake
Sep 26 2023

I really liked this new (to me) musician. The acoustic guitar intro was beautiful and I can’t resist a butter-smooth voice, with flute, acoustic guitar and what sounds fed to me like an orchestra. My highest rating so far.

Cypress Hill by Cypress Hill
Sep 27 2023

I didn’t like this all and was surprised it was a success. I didn’t think the rapping was creative at all. But what do I know? Maybe by the end of my 1001 album journey I’ll feel differently.

Fever To Tell by Yeah Yeah Yeahs
Sep 30 2023

Vocal vibes of Pat Benatar. Wouldn’t buy it or listen to it again but don’t hate it.

Unknown Pleasures by Joy Division
Oct 01 2023

How much did I dislike this album? It was so much more than lead singers voice. But why go on?

Back to Mystery City by Hanoi Rocks
Oct 06 2023

Finnish rock band. Popular I early 80’s. I honestly didn’t like any of it.

Abraxas by Santana
Oct 07 2023

Santana! The best album so far. The only songs I didn’t really like were the ones w vocals. 🤷‍♀️

Off The Wall by Michael Jackson
Oct 09 2023

Thought I loved every song on this album but i didn’t. Still pretty pretty pretty darn good!

Can't Buy A Thrill by Steely Dan
Oct 10 2023

What a great album. Lyrics like “A race of angels bound with one another”, “unhand that gun begone, there’s no one to fire upon,” and other lyrics. No silly refrains. I wish I had appreciated Steely Dan when I was younger.

Elvis Is Back by Elvis Presley
Jun 30 2025

Not a big Elvis fan but this was pretty good.
