/ Disorder - one of the greatest, if not the greatest, post punk songs. The drums, bass, and guitar will never not hit.
/ Day of the Lords- such a slick but bleak sound. Sounds like the moonlight reflecting off an oil stain on the pavement, like black paint running down a brick wall.
/Candidate- the drum fills are cool. Extremely moody, make man wanna wear a suit and walk down an alley. Nice subtle yet unbelievably dark sound
/Insight - the video game lasers going into the drums and chord progression were too good. Painful nostalgia vibe on it. Drum buildup in the last 45 seconds is heavy but I wish it would’ve had an explosive ending.
/New Dawn Fades- dirty bass off the jump. Very cinematic. Preparation for war. Almost hypnotic guitar throughout the whole thing.
Peter Hook and that bass are sumn else
/She’s Lost Control- never been one of my favorites, but I get why it’s popular. Song does have a good drive on it, always moving forward. The middle instrumental section is really good, maybe I been sleeping on it.
/Shadowplay- sounds like liberation but still has restraint. Damn good riffs on this. sounds like the shadows of a crowd on a dark wall.
/Wilderness - crazy driving bass. Gives me slaughterhouse 5 vibes for whatever reason.
/Interzone- super energetic, probably the most punk sounding one on here. Song feels like speed, driving on a dirt road in the dark
/I Remember Nothing - Starting off slow, controlled, and dark. Super angsty yet cute vocals. I can feel the isolation and loneliness dripping off this track. Very subdued and angry closing track.
>I can definitely see why and how this album is so influential. Every member brought their own aspect to the mood of the album and played off eachother beautifully. It perfectly captures the angst, anguish, and isolation of adolescence, but with some interesting political/societal lyrics. The album sounds like taking a stroll through the dark, wet city streets.
Favs: disorder, day of the lords, insight, shadowplay
Least fav: candidate

/ 7NA - we playin some football now
/black math- good riff. Very cool middle section, sounds like carti. Badass song, had to run it back
/there’s no home for you - dude is not having it with this broad, always appreciate a good quiet/loud song, the chorus gets old but the 3rd verse is hard
/I just don’t know what to do with myself - sounds like a garage rock Beatles song. Picks up in the second half. Jack whites vocals is almost bowie like at times. These fellers know how to make a good chorus.
/in the cold cold night - Meg white sounds good on it. Makes me feel like a detective that is on the verge of finding a clue and cracking the whole puzzle.
/I wanna be the boy to warm mothers heart -Guitar solo was nice. Not my favorite
/you’ve got her in your pocket - instrumentally might be my least fav so far but lyrically it might be the best so far. Dude thought he had her in the bag. Went from sounding manipulative and controlling but by the end I get what he means
/ball and biscuit - these 2 cats know how to jam. Every time that distortion on the guitar hits. makes me wanna slick my hair back, wear a leather jacket, keep a toothpick in my mouth and lean against a gas pump.
/the hardest button to button - ha celebrity deathmatch. Good buildup, I already know their gonna deliver a crazy break down. Meg is one of the best drummers in the game. Jack coulda came a little harder vocally but the music video makes up for it.
/little acorns - intro scared me, thought I got an ad. Damn Janets life sucks, pretty good advice though. Vocals aren’t having the energy to match the guitar and drums.
/hypnotize- sounds like sex bobomb. The guitar riff going into the last verse makes me feel like a surfer dude.
/the air near my fingers- good transition. Cornball lyrics. Not my favorite
/girl you have no faith in medicine - finally dude brings back some of the energy. Meg white tears the drums up as usual, she’s the mvp of this album.
/it’s true we love one another - never liked this kinda sound. Idk who the goddamn holly is. I guess it’s cool how the song sounds like a conversation. Goddamn brits
>instrumentally this album is perfect. Meg white gotta be top 3 drummers of the 2000s. Jack white has a good voice but it gets annoying on some songs, but he’s a dog on the guitar. The distortion on a lot of it gives it the perfect sound. Ending was a little weak.
Fav: black math, I just don’t know what to do, you’ve got her in your pocket
Least fav: it’s true we love eachother

This cat was cookin. More of a comp album but cool to see where the roots of rock and roll came from. Not all tracks were available to stream but it was worth doing a little diving. Not something I would listen to regularly but had I been around in 57 I woulda been spinnin. Really good lyricism regarding heartache, insecurity, and anxiety in a relationship. I guess bitches been trippin since the 50s. Mardi Gras is a must.
Fav tracks: blueberry hill, what’s the reason I’m not pleasing you, gone home
Least fav: La La
Some heist music rn
Killer instrumentation, most of these drum breaks have such a good pace and intensity to them. outside my realm but crazy listening experience. the outro title track is some explosive transcendental stuff, the raspiness of his voice is matched perfectly with the fast drums. Idk what that whooping, bird call sounding instrument is but it’s used perfectly throughout this album.

Godfathers of the best genre ever. Do the dog, I’m the dog. It’s Up to you has crisp drums but still holds on to the groove of the first 2 tracks. Nite Klub has real lyrics and is a lot more jazzy. Concrete jungle has a crazy bassline, booming drums. Blank expression was a nice slower piece. Overall the album has a simultaneous excited fast vibe and laidback chiller vibe. A constant drive and groove throughout. Good listening experience
Fav tracks: concrete jungle, nite klub, blank expression
Least fav: monkey man

Musically it’s great, lyrically it’s great, even vocally it’s great. I’m conflicted bc it all sounds good but its just so damn sleepy and lacking energy. Easily the most boring album so far. I can see it hitting in the 50s, I’d come home from work, kiss the wife, then get my gin and tonic and mosey on over into my study to work on my miniatures. I wouldn’t feel right ranking it lower than a 3, bc I can see it being a 5 in the right circumstances. But as of listening in my current setting, it’s gonna have to be a 3. Boring ass album
Already better than the Sinatra. First song I’m in a disco dance. Jehrico and picture book are my favs. Groovy, dark, perfect 80s music
Good ol American boy music, makes me wanna hop in my pickup after workin long hours at the mill
