She's So Unusual
Cyndi Lauper
Like, it's not my style, but I can't refute the fact that there is something to it. It has an 80s sugar-pop aesthetic that doesn't speak to me personally, but this album was consistent front to back, and I can't deny that the production was solid across the board. It's not for me, but I really can't knock it. I'm going to give a 4/5, just based off how consistent it was, and how formative it was to 80s pop. It's not for me, but it IS well done.

Nas
undeniable classic, every track pretty much hits in that formative gritty east-coast way. A bunch of tracks on this are referenced all over the place throughout hip hop, and there are lines from it that have made their way into general pop culture. Very good listen, and only slightly overrated when people call it the best hip-hop record of all times. I've listened to this many times before, of course.

solid folk rock, but I don't think I'm likely to return to it.

Never Mind The Bollocks, Here’s The Sex Pistols
Sex Pistols
I can definitely see how influential this was, but to be honest, I'm not that into it. Like, for me, punk isn't really good unless it's like, crossover. There are just too many instances of them playing too similar of riffs, and the vocals don't do much for me either.

This totally slapped, I love that old-school funk vibe and this is it at it's best!

Pretty solid, but didn't hit me that hard. I think I prefer Ok Computer, Kid A, and In Rainbows over this, but still pretty good.

Pretty decent folk, a couple good tracks, probably won't come back to.

Massive Attack
A pretty mid Massive Attack album in my opinion. If you wanted to have a definition for what trip-hop sounds like, this would work though, it comes across as pretty straight in that genre, but none of the individual tracks really jumped out at me.

I Do Not Want What I Haven't Got
Sinead O'Connor
Ehhh. So, I can hear the influence of this kind of think on stuff I do like, like fever ray in particular, especially as the album reached it's back half, but the basic truth of the matter is that, before this, the only Sinead O'Connor song I liked was her cover of \"oro se dovath\" or however your spell that in Irish (I usually just put in 'oro' and whatever search engine I'm using does the rest), and after listening to this album, that's still true. There were a couple of tracks I was alright with, Nothing Compares 2 U was okay despite the awful title, and Emperor's New Clothes. Basically, I thought the back half was much better than the front, overall. So, I'm rating these based on how likely I am to listen to it again, and that being the case, this gets a 1/5 - sorry.

The Cure
A pretty unlistenable, tough album that paved the way for a lot of dark ambient and gothy music - I'm definitely a fan.
