My Generation by The Who
Oct 02 2023

Never listened to the whole album before - just classics like the song, My Generation. In general also, not a massive The Who fan, so don't know their material too well. But really enjoyed the album. So many different sounds contained in one album, reflecting the exciting period for Rock that this was. Some songs are those classic British Invasion style rock songs, but others more bluesy, whilst some reminded me more of Beach Boys style with the harmonizing vocals. Will listen to again!

Bridge Over Troubled Water by Simon & Garfunkel
Oct 03 2023

Not my favourite album, but that's probably just because I'm not a massive Simon & Garfunkel fan. Feels like a really confident album by a duo at the peak of their sound, but it's just not for me. I was looking for a little more pizzazz

In Rainbows by Radiohead
Oct 04 2023

One of my favourites for a long time - In Rainbows never gets old. Radiohead at their most in control. A really accessible album, with warmth and texture throughout. Really love the stripped back guitar sounds paired with the excellent percussion. From the opener, 15 Steps, through the incredible Weird Fishes/Arpeggi, to my all time favourite, Reckoner. I could, and will, listen to this endlessly.

Neon Bible by Arcade Fire
Oct 05 2023

A good listen, but lacks the standout tracks of other Arcade Fire albums. Without the distinct tracks, it sort of blends into one for me.

Devotional Songs by Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan
Oct 06 2023

Must admit, I only got about half way through. Enjoyable listening, but not something I would necessarily return to regularly. Or at least not in album form - maybe choosing to pick out individual tracks.

Iron Maiden by Iron Maiden
Oct 09 2023

Really fun album to listen to - an enjoyable one for a friday afternoon.

good kid, m.A.A.d city by Kendrick Lamar
Oct 10 2023

Fantastic album - really an enjoyable listen from start to finish with so many standout tracks. Also such a varied album with a range of different songs.
