1001 Albums Summary

Overall I liked it. Good time capsule to that time period and headspace. Fun to go back to that. Not my favorite sounds ever and can be grating over long periods. Solid album

That first song 'Strange Feeling' has the 'All blues' chords from Miles' Davis 'Kind of Blue'. Love it! This is a genre that I didn't really know about. The whole thing feels free form like jazz. But the instruments are so clearly folk. Really cool to hear. Almost gives me vibes of the OG blues. Just talented folks doodling around. Buzzin fly - This guy can really sing This music is pretty good background. I'm not distracted by the rambling music and the tempo is soothing and blends well into the background

Beautiful voice! Hard to go wrong with an acoustic guitar and beautiful singing voice. Has a country twang but it is very slight and could easily be a indie folk record. She is a good lyricist. Has good dance beats sometimes too. Songs <3 Lonely Weekend Space Cowboy Happy & Sad High Horse

I'm not a big fan of U2 and I don't really love their sound. It is just so dull for me. That said, this isn't horrible. I like the guitar with the vocal tone to get this sorta spaced out vibe. The 'Even Better Than the Real Thing' song is pretty good. 'One' I've heard a million times and didn't even realize it was U2. A bit over played but that is because it is a banger.

I LOVE jazz and this is one of my favorite time periods for it. The big band structure with amazing soloists is just the best. These musicians are making art whenever they touch pick up the instrument.

LOVE THIS ALBUM! Such amazing lyrics and vibes. This is the kind of music I love.

I do like his silly accent and lyrics. It has this organic pre-punk feel with still playing folk style music. It can get grating after a while and this album is much too long,

I really was surprised by this band. Quirky, catchy, and a precursor to a lot of modern rock. These guys are innovators and I love it!
