Could see how this would be a refreshing take at the time of release in the rock genre. Maybe wasn't weird feeling it fully on the day. Interesting lyrics that need another listen.

Experimental and eclectic. More thoughtful and exploratory than hard-hitting energy. B sides give a more contemplative feel that are worth examining separate from the rest of the album.

Platonic idea of jazz. Range in moods and emotions. Probably unfair, but didn't come off as experimental or revolutionary as reputation would indicate. But that's looking back nearly 70 years later. Would be good to listen again with better knowledge of the time.

Solid listen. Memorable bars. Can be slightly one dimensional in theme if not in the mood. Times where it's reflective of where he has been and where he is now. Otherwise focuses on lifestyle.
