Gorillaz by Gorillaz
Oct 06 2023

Solid listen the whole way through. First half has more standouts and grooves.

Cosmo's Factory by Creedence Clearwater Revival
Oct 09 2023

Solid listen the whole way through. First half has more standouts and grooves.

Oct 10 2023

First listen and experience with the artist. Has vision and storytelling structure. Stands up over time.

Oct 11 2023

Could see how this would be a refreshing take at the time of release in the rock genre. Maybe wasn't weird feeling it fully on the day. Interesting lyrics that need another listen.

Play by Moby
Oct 12 2023

Experimental and eclectic. More thoughtful and exploratory than hard-hitting energy. B sides give a more contemplative feel that are worth examining separate from the rest of the album.

Birth Of The Cool by Miles Davis
Oct 13 2023

Platonic idea of jazz. Range in moods and emotions. Probably unfair, but didn't come off as experimental or revolutionary as reputation would indicate. But that's looking back nearly 70 years later. Would be good to listen again with better knowledge of the time.

Ready To Die by The Notorious B.I.G.
Oct 16 2023

Solid listen. Memorable bars. Can be slightly one dimensional in theme if not in the mood. Times where it's reflective of where he has been and where he is now. Otherwise focuses on lifestyle.

Back To Black by Amy Winehouse
Oct 17 2023

Soulful, reflective, and energetic. Strong showing across the album. Surprising to be able to combine those qualities in pop consumable hooks and tracks.

Stardust by Willie Nelson
Oct 18 2023

Very nostalgic and sweet. Simple and heartfelt vocals that puts emotion over show. The type of album you want on when you need to take it easy, have something to reflect on, or just want to hear a kind voice give you some joy.

Vespertine by Björk
Oct 19 2023

Will have to listen again. Lots of texture and interesting arrangements. Didn't really catching lyrical themes on this listen.
