The ArchAndroid by Janelle Monáe

WOWWW this is so good idk how i havent heard of this album or any of the songs before. Literally fucking amazing, feels very new and fresh and unique. I think the slower songs in the second half are weaker, but theyre not bad. Just not nearly as good as the first half

Abbey Road by Beatles

there's only a few songs i would come back to and listen to again. i can see why this album is as big as it is- it's not my favorite personally, but there's no bad songs. good background music but not something im playing in the car. so many of the songs are way too together is such a popular song compared to some of the other tracks

Rio by Duran Duran

i do like how this album sounds but a lot of the songs sound the same. its good, the vibe is good, but it's hard for me to differentiate songs and they tend to drag on for way longer than necessary. (last second added note, maybe it feels dragged out bc a lot of the songs don't seem to have a traditional chorus?) i was like "oh this is the hungry like the wolf album" and then listened to the album and it was just another 40 minutes of hungry like the wolf. like i had to go back to every single song to remind myself of which one it was to rank them because i couldn't remember anything of substance to differentiate them. sad to say i think abbey road is a better album

i like this album, im not a huge fan of the big stretches of conversation and no music. amazing samples and beats and instrumentals, the older style of rap isn't my favorite but it's good music and a good album even if im not coming back to it very often. first time sitting down and listening to wu-tang extensively and im not incredibly impressed but im also not disappointed. i see why this is popular, especially if you grew up listening to them. looooooove the vibe

i wish i liked it more because it's interesting compared to similar bands in a similar time period but im still not crazy about it. definitely better than a lot of other bands so far

Songs Of Love And Hate by Leonard Cohen

it's not bad, its got some lyrics that made me raise my eyebrows but i generally like the music. a couple songs a like, a lot of average stuff
