Beautiful folk rock album, 5 stars.

Fantastic blend of folk, country and rock. The album really wants to make me get up and go to their live show that isn't around anymore. That's a definite 5 from me.

Very good, not the easiest to listen to in one sitting

Good experimental first step of genre blending, definitely a bit more on the incomplete side to my ears, but still holds more than a couple fun and engaging songs

Real fun listen! Space Rock odyssey, mood's there in three words. I dunno guitar very well and don't listen to rock a bunch but I still remember how much my teen classmates and friends bigged up songs from this album back in the late 00's. Hold's up!

Mbube! Huge history, on that one! Love folk music, great for lifting the spirits. Incredible taste of South African culture. I always love when the cultural notes come down from 1001AG. Will definitely be keeping this in the back for traveling.

Haven't started yet, favorite from my teen years. Love the commentary from black voices, it's great having it present in hard rock from this era. Big thumbs up from me personally, I'm still just a visitor when it comes to sick guitar licks, but Cult of Personality's been close to my hear for many years and more to come

Pretty fun, still listening to more rock. Seems to use more folky string instrumentals as well as hard rock guitars for some exciting songs. Breezy lyrics to sing along to, are great. Definitely see why it's a classic, besides the big lead single

Cool rock songs, not my cup of tea, but the craft is there and I can appreciate it

Very good sound and energy and intention from the artist. This album just did not mesh with me personally, it was dreadfully middling to get through. I am definitely an outsider to the genre, but I do listen to enough music to recognize there is quality present, and a fair amount of diversity in tone of some of the tracks. Middling score from me, this is not bad, but does not perk up my ears besides the skill heard from the musicians playing the instruments.

3 fire emojis. Good music, ancestral sound. Glad to have heard it before I died. Played it multiple times.

Fantastic example of experimental hip-hop. We truly need to remember that hip-hop is a movement no different from punk. It isn't just music to party to, it isn't even just an MC rapping and rhyming. It doesn't have to be set in the here and now either. I'm a fan of the exploration this album does, especially for the anxious time it was made.

2 stars from me, I love the type of rock that albums like this surely inspired. This was ahead of it's time for 1980s definitely. But I do find it even a bit rough for this noisier type of early hardcore. A bit too raw for my taste.
