R.E.M.
No idea what happened with the first song on this album, that shit was so mid.
The rest of this album is fantastic, it reminds me a lot of the stuff my dad would listen to when I was a kid.
By this time this is for sure rock/alt rock, but this album still feels very country to me in some way at least at the start.
Sounds great, halfway though and I’m not getting tired of it yet
Previously I haven’t been in love with the singers voice whenever I heard R.E.M in passing but I’m actually enjoying it quite a bit, especially in the context of the album.
I’m not in love with fireplace, but the brass solos and instrumental breaks are fantastic
A little lull towards the end but the last few songs picked up for sure. King of Birds and Oddfellows have been really engaging
Great album easy 8/10 with those last few songs, not always quite my thing but very solid

Never Mind The Bollocks, Here’s The Sex Pistols
Sex Pistols
Don't even need to say much about this one, its The Sex Pistols, they jumpstarted punk in the UK and this was the album that did it. I've seen some hate for this album because of the admittedly terrible production, but I really don't think that the band or their fans ever wanted it to sound any different. They clearly set out to make a dirty, crude, new sound for this and they couldn't have done any better in my opinion.
10/10, always fun

Catch A Fire
Bob Marley & The Wailers
Very chill album, I haven't ever given Bob Marley the attention he deserves before this. Incredibly chill, the kind of music that I could listen to forever and never get tired. Not something that I would listen to every day, but something I'll definitely be coming back to from time to time.

Van Morrison
I've been listening to a few songs off of this album for years now, but I never actually gave the whole thing a chance. Very chill album, the horns on this are absolutely amazing and I personally love Van Morrison's voice.
9/10 for sure

Fiona Apple
I didn't know what to expect coming into this album since I haven't ever really given Fiona Apple any attention, but this is a fantastic album. Every song has a unique feel but the whole album is still a cohesive project, which is more than I can say for most albums out there. Fiona's voice is incredible and her slight rasp gives her a really interesting vibe. I couldn't even imagine what genre this album would be but all of it is great and I think I need to start paying a bit more attention to Fiona's other work.
Jazzy, beautiful, easy to listen to, 8/10.

N.E.R.D
I had no expectations for this album and I was pleasantly surprised. Unique sound, very fun, and super catchy. Not something that I would listen to every day, but for sure I will be coming back to this.

Foo Fighters
Foo Fighters
Foo Fighters, obviously a classic and a damn good album with a lot of very raw emotion poured into it. Not my favorite Foo Fighters album, but an easy 8/10

AC/DC
All great songs individually and this has some of ACDC's biggest hits, but man 40 minutes of ACDC is just too damn much for me.
