1001 Albums Summary

Never heard the band before, but it's quite good. Also, Eminem sampled the last song of the album on his "Rhyme Or Reason" track. Listened to it on 15 Oct. 2023

Well, for me the album was meh, but maybe that's because I just don't like Johnny's style of talking into the mic instead of singing. I'll say this though, he does have charisma and it shows between each song. Probably won't listen it to it again :)

The first couple of songs were rough, but as the album went on, I started recognizing the songs. Quite a few were used in the Shrek movies' soundtracks, for example. He doesn't sing as much but kind of talks through the songs with his raspy voice. Somehow it works out. I'm a bit on the fence in regards to the amount of stars I'd give. On track 7 at the moment, and I'd give about 2.5-3 stars. Just finished listening to it. I'll give it 3 stars. It captures a certain feeling, but it just ain't for me and that's alright.
