Let's Get It On has been used in a million different things and I don't think I've ever heard it in its entirety.
A lot of these songs feel like they could have been like a minute shorter and accomplished the same thing
Really liked the short instrumental part in come get this
Easy listening but I kept finding myself spacing out
I definitely didn't think the first song had lyrics (2+ min before they start)
I have difficulty getting a handle on a song once the length gets over 5 min.
Second song could have ended at least 2 min early without losing anything.
I wonder if these guys inspired Daft Punk.
It's a little simplistic and repetitive.
Again, what's with all these songs that are so long?
Despite being named Spacelab I'm almost getting fantasy-electronica vibes. I kinda like this one, reminds me of the Veggietales theme? (probably still too long though)
I'm surprised it took 3 songs before I started getting Tron vibes. lol, 2 minutes in and we start getting lyrics.
I think this might be 3 stars if the songs were shorter, as it is too repetitive and long.
No big surprise, but dang the guitar is so good.
Shoot to Thrill is pretty great in stereo. Love the part at 3:30 that gets a lot quieter.
I wonder how AC/DC would feel knowing I just think of Iron Man when I listen to Back in Black. Again, the guitar is so good.
This album is kind of the same song 10 times, but the song kicks ass so I'm not complaining too much.
Have a Drink on Me is one I've never heard before that I really like.
Shake a Leg actually sounds quite different from the others, trying to think of what the guitar lick sounds like. Holy moly, that solo though.
Kind of a weak song to end on, but overall I did enjoy it.
I love Drive, one of my favorite songs from when I was a teen.
Try Not to Breathe is much more unplugged than Im used to hearing REM.
Sidewinder feels like they wrote about half the lyrics and had to adlib the rest.
That instrumental was not a song, just random noodling.
Monty Got a Raw Deal had great guitar picking. This might go on my music playlist.
Definitely the most varied album we've had so far, a lot of songs that sounded nothing like any of the others. My favorite album so far.
To quote Ebert, I hated, hated, hated this [album]. I gave up halfway through. Obnoxious instrumentals, obnoxious voice.
Seems kind of genetic (except for that wild opening song's singing style). Feels like I might enjoy it more if I was actually there.
I'm more of a fan of the slower Cream songs like World of Pain and there aren't very many of those. The guitar throughout is great. I refuse to believe Mother's Lament isn't a spoof. I'd probably rate this 2.5 stars if I could.
I liked parts of most of the songs (except that first one). But they were interspersed with random noise or aimless noodling. Kind of a frustrating experience.
