1001 Albums Summary

I really like Adele already. Great voice. I didn't realize how many of these songs were on one of album.

Really not my thing. Last half of the final song had some good drumming solos going on.

Definitely a rating based on my level of enjoyment of the music. This album has important themes related to oppression and violence against black people not calculated in my rating.

Wow this was just awful. I was kind of intrigued by this 3 hours of daft punk. I've enjoyed some of their songs. I listened to at least a minute of every song and even that was not worth my time. Even the good songs on this album were too repetitive to be enjoyable.

I really like the last part of all mixed up. "I'm in touch with your world" was probably my least liked. Overall I'm going to give it a four stars. A few of the songs were 5, but the others drag it down to a four.

I'm only two songs in and these things suck bad. The song titled "kid a" just not pleasant at all. "National Anthem" The only thing going for this song is a good beat track. This song has no idea what it's doing. So many random little noises at the beginning. Then the lyrics kick in and do nothing for the song. Then for some reason brass instruments which do not work for me at all. Okay now we have a random sounds competing for your attention none of them coherent except to beat track behind it all that's pretty decent. I think I'm starting to see a theme and how inclusion in the "1001 albums" works. This one is important to help people understand just how terrible Radiohead is. "How to disappear completely". I'm not here. This is not happening. -yeah I'm in denial too. I can't believe this is real. Someone recorded this deliberately?! Optimistic- is an actual song you... could potentially like this song maybe. I am noting this at a point where the song isn't over. There's a late switch that sounds like it's different song... In limbo: another song where it sounds like the parts were recorded separately and then paste it together without regard to well the overall song. Idiotech- had to skip this one the noises were really grating on my eardrums. I bet you could take any random 8-year-old and have them make a music album and it would sound better than this. In fact rather than that have two random 8-year-olds make albums and then mix them together at random and it would sound better than this album. In retrospect national anthem being one of the three worst songs on this album still has the only positive redeeming feature of this album and that is a good beat track.

While I don't think I'd rate any of these songs as five stars the overall album is four stars. Perhaps the mediocrity of the previous few albums I've listened to is showing through.

Not really my thing. I like the brassy music more than the singing, but neither really hits for me.

Love muse. Multiple great songs on this album. Few that I don't care for that much.

Fun I hadn't really listened to anything but their mainstream songs.
