Perfect introduction to soul for me, love the feminism, the struggles of the woman. and the theme overall on this album.

It’s not that catchy or something, but I really like this record. It just sounds so cool and energetic. And I don’t even know what’s really happening in the lyrics, but the theme and concept of this album is sooo classic. Children of the Damned sound really like Fade To Black from Metallica by the way.

After only hearing the songs Speed Trials and Between the Bars by Elliott Smith, I expected a peaceful listen. But actually it was very energetic at some points, the sound of this album is very varied, and Elliott expresses himself in a very unique way. Every song is good and worth checking out, so you need to listen to this I guess…
