Classic reggae. What can I say? I dig.

Wonderful. Wonderful. Wonderful. Homely, achy, easy: Otis got soul! Second best rendition of the stone cold Stones classic after the one and only DEVO. Maaaan, but don't I just love every record?

Big fan of Mr. Davis. Big fan of Mr. Hancock, the other players, and the world of fusion. However, if there was something real special in there I didn't notice. I could picture a sort of ethereal transcendence if I weren't so preoccupied with work so I'm inclined to grant 3.5 stars rather than 2.5, given I was neither gallivanting about a misty who-knows-where nor sat at an inner-city bus stop watching cars and strange drunkards move about the evening commuter frenzy. Boy... 4 it is.

One of favourite albums ever. I've listened to Teen Age Riot what feels like everyday since I was sixteen and it's still thrilling. It's is one of those cosmic tracks that gives the impression it's always existed in its absolute and perfect form. Perhaps the album isn't actually perfect but it's just such a satisfying, deranged, nostalgia trip that it's fastened itself someplace deep in my skull. Candle, Silver Rocket, 'Cross the Breeze, Eric's Trip, I mean, come on! Kissability! Maaan.

First off, cover art is great. I enjoy a few songs off Three Imaginary Boys. Of course there's 10 years between them so I did go in expecting a gloomy, hypnotic mood-show rather than anything resembling a hits record. But this didn't do IT for me on my first listen. At no point did I go "oh man!" It felt like a load of gothic dullness. Will listen again, loud, to really hear the lyrics and try to feel it. Plainsong just started and I get it. I dig Lullaby. I like Prayers for Rain. 2 stars from me. Good.

I'd be real chuffed watching these guys at a local fair for 6-8 minutes. Then I'd get a hotdog. I could see this album making any roadtrip feel like a real great-american-novel roadtrip. For that and Stormy Monday + a few other tracks that live somewhere between Gil Scott-Heron, Steely Dan and the Dead it's almost a 3 (great) but let's pace myself. 2.75 (good and 3/4)

A little boring musically but great rapping, good lyrics and generally vibey and enjoyable. I get why people could be super into this.
