It's an interesting album, but far too long with too many filler tracks.
There are some masterpieces on here, some of my favorites being: Dear Prudence, While My Guitar Gently Weeps, I'm so Tired, Blackbird, Julia, Sexy Sadie, and Revolution.
There are some extremely weird songs on here though: including Piggies and Rocky Racoon.
Overall, this album suffers from having too many songs, many of which are skips.
Interesting album. I especially liked the concept behind it and the story that Bowie was able to tell. However, there were a lot of songs that I wasn't too fond of, or at least don't see myself revisiting. Overall, I can see how this album was very impressive, but it just didn't age well.
Some of the songs I did like was Five Years, Starman, and Star.
While there is some good production, most of the songs are way too long. For example, "A Warm Summer Night" started out really strong, but it was dragged on without any change in production or any interesting lyrics. However, I can see how people who like disco music and don't care about lyricism can find a lot of enjoyment in this album. Overall, it is not an album I find myself wanting to revisit.
Really enjoyed this album! Some of my favorite songs are Thinkin bout You, Sweet Life, Super Rich Kida, and Lost.
This was a pretty boring album. There weren't any horribly offensive songs, but there also wasn't a single song that stood out. While thinking back on the album, there honestly isn't a single song that I can remember, it was all so forgettable.
It was okay, most of the songs were pretty boring, but I thought the suite overtures were beautiful.
A pretty boring album.... For most of the songs you could barely even hear the vocals or make out what the singer is saying.
This is not the typical kind of music I listen to, but I can see the appeal. Springfield has a beautiful, sultry voice, which I think is best part of this album. However, there wasn't really a standout song for me on this album.
