Listening statistics & highlights
The songs blend into each other a bit, and everyone says they appreciate the bass a lot but honestly I just don't get it, it's not even loud enough. Still nice, though, better than anything else I've heard by them which is... well not saying a lot.
The title track and the first song are great, the rest is just sort of there... I wish it leaned into the jazz-y elements a bit more, honestly!
Pleasant but honestly nothing more. Besides the title track this felt like wallpaper music.
Honestly this relisten was just as good as my first listen, and maybe even better. Loved the guitar and even though the songs get a tiny bit repetitive (riff wise), it still kicks ass.
Not Bowie's best, but definitely an enjoyable record overall.
Did not expect to enjoy this one nearly as much as I did, but any pleasant surprise is a good one. Sugary harmonies and excellent vocal melodies backed with great guitar playing. I can see this one growing on me even more in the future.
