Not my usual kind of music but listen the whole album Walk This Way is a good track (probaly just from RunDMC familiarity) but gets too guitary towards the end Big Ten Inch is a surprising different style. Like the instrumental but not the lyrics. It wasn't as heavy as I was expecting but really not my thing. Generally didn't get anything from the album.
Whole album not on Spotify. I love hip-hop....but not this style usually so here goes Everyday Struggle is by far the best track. More complex/detailed lyrics Getting bored of gangsta subjects and wording. Not my style of hip-hop/rap. Don't understand how this type of hip-hop/rap had got more popular than the likes of Jurassic 5 or Dilated Peoples, native tongues etc I give up, just don't like subject matter or rather the wording chosen to rap about it. Beats good on the album but lyrics not for me. 2 stars for beats
Never really sat down and listen to Elvis but I enjoyed most of this album. Nice vibes. Some tunes are a bit too ballad for me. Blue suede shoes added to favs Interesting version of blue moon
Nice early synth sounds. Good album over all. Sweet Dreams track added to favs.
Nice album, not something Id listen to directly but would definitely have on in the background of a gathering
Quality album. Great background and chilled listen. Take Five is an excellent track
Hadnt heard of Nick Drake before. Very pleasant album. Will check out more of his work. No standout track for me but while album was nice. Good back ground music
The Hallelujah cover was surprisingly good given I didn't really like the rest of the album. There was something missing from all other tracks. They started nicely but quickly went in a direction I didn't like. 2 stars because of Hallelujah
Really interesting arrangements and different styles in this album. Seems almost experimental. Really interesting to listen to as a whole rather than individual tracks. Probably not something I'd choose to listen too usually but this was an enjoyable journey. Doors and Johnny Cash vibes from some tracks. The drumming instrumentals were coo l, although a bit long
I expect to hate this. I've heard a couple of the bigger Pistol tunes but assumed the rest wouldnt be good. Punk, metal, indie is usually not to my liking but I really enjoyed this album. Musically it was way better than I expected and the vocals work really well. I expected it to be badly produced and the instruments not played well but I was wrong. I don't really understand why but the energy and rawness gave me Prodigy vibes, this is probably why I liked the album. Finding albums like this is why I started listen to this list. Bit late to the party probably but hip-hop, beats, funk and electrica is what I usually listen to.
Not sure why this album is listed. It's not bad but there's nothing new or ground braking about it. If it was from the 80s or 90s I'd think differently but for a 2018 album it's very standard. I like the instrumental tracks more
Not heard of these before. Very nice album. Really well produced and arranged. The vocals and the pacing are very good too. At times it like a more indie version of Blue States
Never listen to a white stripes album but I've loved the commercially successful tracks I've heard. I was looking forward to to hearing this. It started well but I must admit I got bored. My Doorbell was the standout track for me. For that track alone I'll give the album 3 stars but a lot of the other tracks didn't do much for me.
Just couldn't get into this. Didn't like the vocal style.
Was hoping Prince Charming was on this album. One of the better sounds from the New Romantic era of the 80s.
Not heard of these before. Was ok, nothing special to my tastes but still a nice listen. If it was recorded earlier I could see it being quite influential but seems fairly standard for late 70s
War pig - better than expected Paranoid - not bad, I like he rhythm of the lyrics Planet caravan - v nice. Unexpected Iron man - classic riff but not for me. Don't like the pacing or style of lyrics Electronic funeral - nope Hand of doom - this is really nice until the electric guitar kicks in and the shouting starts Rat salad - some good drumming I can see how this must have been amazing on release, something totally new. It's not for though, guitars are too heavy being the main thing. My star ratings are getting messed, need more than 5. Giving this 2 would rather do 2.5 or something as it isn't bad it's just not for me
Love coldcut but the album isn't on Spotify. Finally an album that isn't rock. This list is so biased towards rock, or the random selection of very rock heavy currently.
