Dire Straits by Dire Straits
Nov 24 2023

None of the songs really grabbed me. One thing I liked on each song was the guitars. But otherwise, couldn’t really connect with any song. Just didn’t grab me lyric-wise. I wouldn’t have been able to tell Sultans of Swing was the big hit of this album without reading it. If I had to pick a song I liked, it would be Wild West End. It was the one song that seemed different as it was slower, and it got me trying to listen to the lyrics. But ultimately, just couldn’t connect.

Brilliant Corners by Thelonious Monk
Nov 25 2023

Admittedly, not really into jazz. I don’t mind having this in the background when working but nothing stands out for me. I didn’t even realize my music app was playing songs beyond the album.

Rumours by Fleetwood Mac
Nov 26 2023

Solid album, music is catchy and the harmony of the voices work well. Favorite song is The Chain. Go Your Own Way and Dreams are familiar and it’s easy to see why they are the hits from the album.

Blur by Blur
Nov 27 2023

Even though I recognized one song (Song 2), it’s not a song that I’d at as a favorite and the rest of the album isn’t something I’d consider re-listening to.

Nov 28 2023

Initial thoughts: psychedelic and performative. Songs 1-3 are pretty much just sounds? I recall like 3 songs that have lyrics, but they’re separated by tracks/intros/putrid that seem to blend into each other. The lyrical songs don’t really standout for me. Ultimately, this isn’t an album I’d listen to again.

Funeral by Arcade Fire
Nov 29 2023

I did like Wake Up and Rebellion (Lies) but not enough to think I’d relisten to this album or even add those songs to a playlist.

Home Is Where The Music Is by Hugh Masekela
Nov 30 2023

Because I’m not a fan of jazz, can’t really rate this album any higher. It’s not an album I’d actively seek out and listen to again.

Darklands by The Jesus And Mary Chain
Dec 01 2023

Nothing really stood out for me, wouldn’t listen to this album again.

The Wall by Pink Floyd
Dec 02 2023

Once you realize it’s a rock opera, and the story it’s trying to tell, the album makes more sense. The standout song IMO is Another Brick In The Wall Pt. 2. Although an interesting listen, don’t think I’d want to listen to the album again.

Violator by Depeche Mode
Dec 03 2023

Recognized 3 songs: Personal Jesus, Enjoy The Silence, Policy of Truth. Like the latter 2 but not enough to add to a playlist or consider relistening to the album.
