1001 Albums Summary

Classic 90s rap with Snoop and Dre what else is there to say. Are there some songs on here that are a lil weird, sure but I find that to be true with almost every album I listen to period. There are two songs that I will probably skip when I listen again and I definitely will listen to this again and will be adding some of these to my rotation/playlist. Best song: Lyrical Gangbang Weirdest Song: The Doctor's Office Worst Song: The $20 Sack Pyramid Skips: The Doctor's Office, The $20 Sack Pyramid Over: 9.2/10

Maybe I'm not the target audience for this album but I couldn't get into this at all, it was too slow and it didn't grab my attention. From a quick Google search on Wilco, I found they were listed as alt-rock but I think they're much more alt than rock as alt-rock is a genre I usually enjoy. The bright spots in the album were the instrumentals and the lowest point was definitely capping off what I would consider to be a snoozefest with a 7 minute song. Overall yankee hotel foxtrot is more boring than bad, but honestly, I'd rather cringe than yawn. Best song: Jesus Etc. Worst Song: Reservations Skips: The whole album

Overall I really enjoyed this album. The vocals were solid and the fusion of jazz with 80s synth waves made it stand out in a great way. Could see myself listening to this while I work or on an evening drive down the freeway. Definitely adding some of these songs to my library. The end of the album did bring the overall score down a bit, Night Train was a bit longer than it needed to be and Dust didn't match the rest of the album to me and was a bit slow.
