1001 Albums Summary

Strong live jazz album featuring some fantastic African drum beats and melodies. When the Sax comes on I sleep 😴

Interesting blues rock album that looks to have inspired a number of following artists. Some interesting songs where they move away from the blues sound and more into a Beatles pop sound.

Insane that they remastered this album and didn't get rid of the stereotypical asian sample in the second song. They really wanted to release a prog rock album with the first song but then the sound changed to a normal rock album. This album suffers the comparison problem of older albums. So many albums after this one does the sound better and nothing on this album stands out to make it different from albums that do it better.

As classic as you can get with a rock album. Ozzy Osbourne overrated fr fr but is made up by the accompanying musicians.

Interesting instrumentation but overbearing vocals make this not want to come back to this album at all.

Folky jazz/pop album with beautiful performances by Joni.

Some of the songs on Side B are ass but the hits are so good. The fact that Dr. Dre is probably the third best artist on this album is something different. If this album was just Side A than it would probably be a five but that side B drops it

Album title is very descriptive. Really nice vocals but very much focused solely on the vocals which is a shame. Instrumentation was kinda boring for a jazz album but is expected with soul.
