I was skeptical at first because I think Elton John is way overplayed. I was happy to see that this album started with Tiny Dancer and Levon, two actually good songs. As I listened, I was pleasantly surprised. The piano bangers on this album hit hard, especially the title track. Really enjoyed.
Standard issue So Cal party/lowrider album. A classic. The only standouts for me were the singles: Gin & Juice, etc. The skits were extremely annoying.
Not my cup of tea. Bowie's voice is so annoying.
Sleepy 60s poetic stuff. I'm not civilized or in touch with my feelings enough to appreciate it.

A pretty good listen. Indie ahead of its time. Good bass, chill, with decent vocals. Has a lush, psychedelic quality to it.
I was looking forward to this one because I was digging the music initially, in the 1st track. But this guy's voice is just...grating. Couldn't make it through 2 complete songs before giving up.
"Street Life" was the best track, but at 11 minutes long.... That's pushing it. The rest is just cheesy casting couch music. Not terrible, just not something I would reach for.
