Superfly by Curtis Mayfield

Meh.

Hot Fuss by The Killers

Noise.

Moon Safari by Air
Jan 10 2024

Overall air of disconnectedness, alienation. The album is depressing, but interesting.

The La's by The La's
Jan 11 2024

Sound like they were dropped out of the sixties into the nineties. Hints of the Stones, Beatles, and others from across the pond, plus some originality. Rather good British Rock with era guitar, decent harmonies, decent melodies, and overall balance. They could have had quite an impact thirty years earlier -- or today -- but the nineties are another matter.

Physical Graffiti by Led Zeppelin
Jan 16 2024

Does not come close to their seminal 1969 releases, the only ones I maintain an interest in listening to.

Pictures At An Exhibition by Emerson, Lake & Palmer
Jan 17 2024

I enjoyed Gustav Holt's work, and this is a quirky take on the classic.

Jazz Samba by Stan Getz
Jan 29 2024

Stan Getz, thumbs up; Charlie Byrd, thumbs down.
