Paranoid by Black Sabbath

I never would have listened to this if not for this program. I can’t believe how much I enjoyed it! Caravan Planet is psychedelic and groovy. War Pigs is surprisingly socially conscious and thoughtful. I have a greater appreciation for Black Sabbath and their role in the evolution of rock music.

Led Zeppelin III by Led Zeppelin

I like the variety of sounds from heavy rock to blues to traditional English tunes. And there’s a song about a border collie! ❤️ I’ve always liked Plant’s voice, especially in lower registers. The last song about shooting a black wiman and comparing himself to a monkey — hard pass

Yoshimi Battles The Pink Robots by The Flaming Lips

I tried. Just not my thing. Sounds at times like Beck, at times like early Bowie. Weird story about man v machines. I think the girl has cancer. Just couldn’t connect to it lyrically or musically.

Oh my god, love this whole album. I only ever knew them from Pretty in Pink. Wish I had heard it back in the day.
