Blonde On Blonde by Bob Dylan
Jan 05 2024

Having been born in 1966, obviously heard the name Bob Dylan but didn’t realize that over the years that I had heard some of his music, two on this album to be exact. Listening from start to finish gives you a little story, poetically written, again never realized how beautiful some of his lyrics are. Couldn’t help but giggle at the drug references dropped in here and there, probably more blatant to most listeners now. Overall I’d give it a solid 4.

Fulfillingness' First Finale by Stevie Wonder
Jan 06 2024

I’ve never listened to an album from Stevie Wonder from start to finish. None of the songs were familiar but that voice! The track “They won’t go when I go” was so different from what I knew of his music. Enjoyed this album.

Birth Of The Cool by Miles Davis
Jan 07 2024

It’s confirmed, still not a jazz fan. I can imagine this music playing in the background at a dinner party. I’m glad I listened to it, but won’t be revisiting this album.

The Cars by The Cars
Jan 08 2024

I had this album on cassette and they were a staple on MTV so I’m very familiar with the songs. My favorite Cars song, Moving in Stereo, is on this, so good!

Songs From The Big Chair by Tears For Fears
Jan 09 2024

Tears for Fears is my favorite band from the 80’s. I was introduced to their music with their 1983 album The Hurting when a friend lent me the cassette. I played that thing start to finish three times before returning it, went out and got my own cassette soon after. The dark moody music appealed to me so when Songs from the Big Chair came out I was thrilled. This album has one of my favorite songs, Everybody Wants to Rule the World. This album is less dark and somber, there is hope that wasn’t in the previous album. I must have grown to because became my favorite of their albums and still is. I usually pick and choose songs from this but playing it start to finish reminded me of how special this album and this band is. I’d give it a 10 if I could!

Jan 10 2024

Interesting album. I grew up in Southern California so I am familiar with some of their songs, The Cisco Kid, was played in the radio. The music reminded me of 1970’s radio, especially the songs that were over 10 minutes. Not a bad album.

Ragged Glory by Neil Young & Crazy Horse
Jan 11 2024

Not a fan of Neil Young, avoid his music at all cost. I listened to this against my will but I did like two of the songs, Love to Burn and Over and Over. I have concluded that if anyone else sang his songs, I’d probably be a fan, just can’t get over his voice.
