Odessey And Oracle by The Zombies
Jan 06 2024

Growing up in the midst of all these new groups coming to fame was incredible. I wasn’t into buying albums but certainly enjoyed the music. Hearing this album and following the lyrics of most songs for the first time made me appreciate the group more, 50+ years later. Great album!

Jan 07 2024

Didn’t really think much of Johnny Cash’s ability to carry a tune previously but listening to this album changed my old mind. Can appreciate his talent to tell a story like no other through his unique voice.

Bridge Over Troubled Water by Simon & Garfunkel
Jan 09 2024

This duo was definitely a favorite of many and I became a fan. They clearly sang songs with meaningful lyrics that pulled at the heart strings of those who listened. I was familiar with all these songs and listening to some many times didn’t bother me.

Queen II by Queen
Jan 10 2024

Although I’m a fan of some different Queen songs, didn’t care for a number of ones on this album. Perhaps after listening to more of these “new to me” songs, I might change my mind and grow to enjoy them. That said, I can understand how they became so popular.

Dog Man Star by Suede
Jan 11 2024

Can’t say I liked this group or the fact there were 31 cuts included. Listen to half, advanced up to the last one and fast forwarded after listening to a few minutes. Music and lyrics were dark for the most part, not worth listening to in my opinion.

Moby Grape by Moby Grape
Jan 12 2024

Some lyrics were a bit bizarre but enjoyed their music. Nice to hear the stereo separation in some of the songs. One of the things I miss in much of today’s modern music.

Green by R.E.M.
Jan 13 2024

Certainly remember 2 cuts from this album, Stand & Orange Crust. They were among a few I liked of the entire list of songs. I would likely be more objective if the music videos weren’t rolling while listening. Will see about avoiding them in the future. Did appreciate their ability to vocalize clearly.

Endtroducing..... by DJ Shadow
Jan 14 2024

Didn’t enjoy this group’s style of music. Admit that I only listed to a bit of a few cuts but that was enough.

Countdown To Ecstasy by Steely Dan
Jan 15 2024

Liked Steely Dan’s music since first hearing them back in the day. Never heard this album only the songs that made them popular.

Fulfillingness' First Finale by Stevie Wonder
Jan 16 2024

Have been an admirer of Stevie Wonder since he came on the seen. Enjoyed listening to this album and hearing both familiar and unfamiliar songs.

The Gershwin Songbook by Ella Fitzgerald
Jan 17 2024

Ella Fitzgerald’s voice is incredible! Likely heard some of her music as a kid but certainly didn’t appreciate what a gift she was at that time. Throughly enjoyed this album, her clearly beautiful vocals are so soothing and totally on key with every note.

At Folsom Prison by Johnny Cash
Jan 18 2024

Quite a collection of tunes, some I heard for the first time. Rating this album higher based on what Cash did for those men in prison.

Jan 19 2024

Never was much of a “Buck fan”. His music was just too twangy for me. Watched “Hee-Haw” on a regular basis but he was perhaps my least favorite singer/personality.

The Wall by Pink Floyd
Jan 20 2024

Dark Side of the Moon was how I was introduced to Pink Floyd. Must have heard it more than a 100 times. Wasn’t impressed with most of this album. My taste is music has changed over time but still enjoy many classics from the 60’s & 70’s.

Ellington at Newport by Duke Ellington
Jan 22 2024

Haven’t really listen to that much jazz but certainly knew how popular Duke Ellington became. Rating album higher as I can appreciate his accomplishments and the musicians that helped him achieve his well deserved status.

Eliminator by ZZ Top
Jan 23 2024

A fan of this group since they came on the scene. Believe I became familiar with many of the songs off this album. Classic rock-n-roll with a unique style.

461 Ocean Boulevard by Eric Clapton
Jan 24 2024

Always enjoyed the Eric Clapton songs that I heard on the radio. This album introduced me to a number of songs that provided new insights into his music.

Calenture by The Triffids
Jan 25 2024

Never heard of this group or recall any of the songs listened to off this album. Did find their music enjoyable despite what I thought after reading about them.

Jan 26 2024

Can’t say I ever heard any of the songs on this album. Seems Brian Evo’s name popped up at some point but not a fan of his music.
