1001 Albums Summary

I’m not a big fan of country music as a whole, and I really felt like a lot of the instrumentals, especially towards the end of the album were quite bland. However she does have a great voice and that makes the album much more enjoyable. My favourite song was definitely the title track

This album really showcases how amazing of a singer Amy Winehouse really was. Her amazing vocal performances are really the highlight of every song. The lyrics are certainly at times hard to listen to in hindsight, but this is definitely a great album. My favourites were You Know I’m No Good and Tears Dry on Their Own

This is an album where I feel like you’re enjoyment is heavily dependent on your appreciation of the vocalist. And I think he’s awful. The music is cool though, especially in the second half. I don’t get the appeal at all tbh

This is a very good album. The vocals blend very well with the instrumentals throughout. It’s definitely a bit depressing at points but in a good way .
