Thriller by Michael Jackson
Jan 10 2024

Uh so starting the album with a 6 minute highly repetitive song is a... bold move. The Paul McCartney duet was odd. The lows with this album do go low, but my God do the hits bang. This is pretty much the opposite of a timeless album. This album only could have been made in 1982 and it is such a time capsule. Fantastic album with a fantastic close. Favorite song: PYT

Blood Sugar Sex Magik by Red Hot Chili Peppers
Jan 11 2024

Just gives me big Kyle energy. Like I want to shotgun a monster and punch a wall. Like this is what I imagine goes on inside the head of a 11 year old iPad kid who's parents let them roam. I just don't like the peppers no matter how many chances I give them. Shout out to the worst song I've ever heard in my life 'Sir Psycho Sexy' I'm not a prude or anything but it's just an 8 minute horny ass rant with the worst synth bass I've ever heard. Favorite song: Naked in the Rain

Songs From The Big Chair by Tears For Fears
Jan 15 2024

I don't know, I'm split on this. It starts off very strong but then tacks on 4 songs that basically could have been left off. I really wanted to like this album since it's super 80s but I think that meandering last half should stay in the 80s, however for the first half I have to give it it's credit as some bangers up front so I'll split the difference and give it a 3.

All Directions by The Temptations
Jan 17 2024

This album starts very very strong but fizzles out with a bunch of slow songs at the end, the first bunch of songs are great, funky and a great listen and the back half is... not. Since the first couple of songs are so strong and the slow songs aren't so bad I can give it a strong 3 but I'd hesitate to go any higher than a 3.5 Favorite song: Papa was a Rolling Stone (obviously)

Olympia 64 by Jacques Brel
Jan 18 2024

Very French, it's definitely a vibe but I personally like the vibe. Someone else said he's like a French Leonard Cohen and I agree, very story driven music but fun and enjoyable to listen to even with my very very limited French. Favorite song Le Plat Plays (mostly because I understand the most of that one)

Heartattack And Vine by Tom Waits
Jan 19 2024

Honestly the music and lyrics are a 5/5 by themselves. But as I've said before the worst part of Tom Waits is Tom Waits and unfortunately these beautiful songs were sung by a man who sounds like Bruce Springsteen on Quaaludes. Honestly I really enjoyed this album and I'm glad I got this album but it I have to deduct a star because Tom Waits sung it. Favorite song: Heartattack and Vine

Play by Moby
Jan 22 2024

I'm largely unsure as to why Moby is a respected artist and isn't selling used cars in Toledo. This album is just, bad. It's like he realized he had an album due at 11:59 and he hasn't even started yet.

Highway to Hell by AC/DC
Jan 23 2024

It does what it says on the box, it's AC/DC, it rocks, I honestly dont know what to say that hasn't he said so Ill just leave it at that. Favorite song: Walk all over You
