Gimme Shelter and You Can't Always Get What You Want are classic songs to come from a complete Stones album. Thoroughly contemplative of the era, this album is reminiscent of a different time yet oddly familiar.

This album is very much a NIN album. "Closer" is a well known song which makes radio waves with some regularity despite its questionable lyrics. "Hurt" is a ballad cover of the Johnny Cash tune, which is not unfamiliar to radio airwaves, and includes a static background noise which serves to tie the mainstream to the more familiar sounds of the artist. The album does juxtapose the extreme noise of NIN music against some lighter tones. While not an album I would pick to listen to on my own, this album does expose the musical ability of NIN.

"21" offers many hits. Rolling in the Deep, Rumour Has It, Someone Like You, and Set Fire to the Rain. This album is very soulful and explores the vocal range Adele is known for, fittingly, as it is her breakthrough album. She explores many different tempos as well as topics as she reveals character depth at age 21.

Good album with Sunshine of Your Love. This is an Eric Clapton production which can be hidden from his personal career.

Very light and enjoyable album. Easy listening. Nothing familiar but a good mix of folk and jazz styled rock.
