1001 Albums Summary

Starts off ominous, strong Radiohead vibes. Experimental. Production is interesting. Vocals leave something to be desired - has a "ghost of Christmas past" vibe. Has the vibe of a fading artist grasping at trying to be hip and modern, but it comes out a bit clunky. Gets into a nice little groove, but doesn't seem to lock you in. There are a few moments throughout that stand out, a few things that wow you, but overall those moments are erased by vocals or shrill horn that comes out of nowhere. I enjoy experimental music/jazz, but the whole album feels like it's trying to be something that it's not.

Pastel futuristic space dream.

An album that immediately feels nostalgic and simultaneously is nostalgic.

Cinematic western Motown. Sultry. Horns/strings are nice throughout. A nice listen, nothing out of place. Production is smooth and clean.

It’s fine I guess.

It was fine enough, enjoy other Sly albums more.
