1001 Albums Summary

Enjoyable, surprisingly short.

I know people love Kate Bush but I just couldn’t get into her style. I liked Running up That Hill and Hounds of Love, both of which I knew from covers first. The pleasant surprises were Watching you Without Me and The Morning Fog. Most of the time it felt like I was listening to the soundtrack of a psychadelic 80s cartoon like the Last Unicorn. I’ve slightly amended my original opinion of her - unlistenable mad wailing lady - to experimental mad lady who sometimes wails. What was going on with Waking the Witch??

Really not my cup of tea. Very of its time - I get the feeling the Beastie Boys were a breath of fresh air back in 1989 hence the acclaim in hip hop circles. Fave song for me was 3 Minute Rule. Least fave was
