Pristine vocals. Funny equipment gaffe during the live recording.

Tinny recording quality on the first track (maybe others, or I got used to it). Wonder if this was by design in this era. Not as tinny as AM radio…but sounds like something between AM and FM radio. His renditon of Respect had a nice groove. Didn’t realize Aretha recorded it after Otis. Need to see if Aritha’s had the 4-on-the-floor groove as prevalent as in this recording. A Change Is Gonna Come was beautifully soulful and passionate. Down In The Valley was a great track. My Girl recording of the Temptations classic. Rock Me Baby - straight up blues Respect Per wikipedia: Shortly before his death in a plane crash, Redding wrote and recorded his iconic "(Sittin' On) The Dock of the Bay" with Steve Cropper. The song became the first posthumous number-one record on both the Billboard Hot 100 and R&B charts.
