Oxygène by Jean-Michel Jarre
Feb 28 2024

Wanted to like this more than I did but just found it too dull. Ended up turning it off midway through. Not bad background music but not for me as an active listen.

Aladdin Sane by David Bowie
Mar 03 2024

Not a huge Bowie fan but the album was fairly enjoyable. Dragged a little in the middle but Jean Jeanie followed by Lady Grinning Soul was a great closing to the album

This was always going to get 5 stars. One of the best hip hop artists of the 90’s. Although it ranks below Midnight Marauders for me, it’s a solid album. Really like it the inclusion of funk samples, such a dirty bassline in Go Ahead In The Rain. Hadn’t heard Youthful Expression before loved it sampling Inner City Blues

Mar 06 2024

Fairly average album, wouldn’t be inclined to listen again. Very dated. Perhaps would have enjoyed more if I was coked up in a garish silk shirt having 80’s big bush sex. Chance would be a fine thing.

At San Quentin by Johnny Cash
Mar 09 2024

Great album, the atmosphere of the crowd really makes it.

Mar 12 2024

Lovely little surprise for this to come up. One of the sounds of my teenage years. In my opinion the last fully decent albums that Muse released.

Back to Basics by Christina Aguilera
Mar 14 2024

Some interesting instrumentals but couldn’t even get through disc 1.

Moss Side Story by Barry Adamson
Mar 15 2024

Admittedly only made it about 1/3 of the way through. Maybe like the noir film it’s intended for this also shouldn’t exist

Back At The Chicken Shack by Jimmy Smith
Mar 16 2024

Really wanted to give this a 4 when I started the album, was at first disappointed to see it was so short but it got very repetitive and a boring. I think it needs a second and third listen to fairly judge.

Illmatic by Nas
Mar 18 2024

One of my favourite albums of all time. Great use of sampling and lyrically for a 19 year olds first release incredibly introspective.

The Low End Theory by A Tribe Called Quest
Mar 19 2024

Definitely not their best album but still a solid 4

Black Sabbath by Black Sabbath
Mar 20 2024

Had never really appreciated this as a full album before, had only really listened to the hits off it. Amazing separation of the individual instruments and vocals.
