In Rainbows
Radiohead
As the first on my list to listen and review, I was excited to see it was Radiohead. I loved all of their 90's albums, but hadn't listened to any of their albums released after that. I have been meaning to listen to the newest album, Kid A mnesia, but now after listening to In Rainbows, I might put that off even longer. I was disappointed listening to this one overall. It started off ear-catching with Track 1 but then was just background music while working until Track 8 House of Cards, which I enjoyed. Keep in mind this opinion is coming from someone who does not have an appreciation/understanding of the tech side of music or music theory.

Lust For Life
Iggy Pop
First-time listener. Had heard the title track, and this is one of my top picks off the album. I enjoyed some of the guitar riffs and cowbell. Not a fan of Iggy's voice, and it seemed to change in different tracks, sometimes coming across like he was trying to portray Mick Jagger or Jim Morrison. I found Success annoying after a while, but ended humorously. Turn Blue gave me an Elvis on heroin vibe. It seemed like some of the songs were just improv, maybe like it was a live performance and also just high on heroin. Lyrics mostly seemed shallow, or just nonsense. Maybe I would have liked it as a teenager in 1977. There are a couple of tunes that I might listen to again. Others I might have if the vocals were different. Neighborhood Threat is my top pick and enjoyed the ominous sound, just found the vocals a bit cringey.

Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness
The Smashing Pumpkins
I've heard the album before but probably skipped over much of it. Was a fan of SP with Siamese Dream album which is the only album of theirs I have listened to in its entirety more than once. Some of my favorite SP songs of from this Mellon Collie album: Bullet with Butterfly Wings, Tonight, and 1979. Have heard them a thousand times and still get excited hearing them. On this album, things I love include the mix of hard rock instrumentation, great guitar, and drums, and emotion from Corgan, along with some fantastic lyrics. There is a lot of sadness, anger, vulnerability as well as obsession with sleep and dreaming. I saved a few songs that I hadn't appreciated before: Porcelina of the Vast Oceans, Bodies, By Starlight, and In the Arms of Sleep. Some tracks reminded me of The Beatles: Take Me Down and We Only Come Out at Night. I found some of Corgan's screaming to be over the top and too painful to listen to, making my vocal cords hurt for his. Although I might have replayed these as a teen, I don't need to hear them again: Tales of the Scorched Earth, XYU. It is a long album that I typically do not have the patience for and grow bored with. However, I would say it should be listened to at least once.

Foo Fighters
Foo Fighters
I was not a fan of Foo Fighters' radio hits in 1995 and never listened to the album. I still feel the same after listening this week. I did/do love Nirvana and some of the guitar reminds me of them, likely due to Dave Grohl. I enjoyed the guitar and drums in parts, but as a while, not an album I need to listen to again. Some of the songs I might listen to would be This is a Call, I'll Stick Around, Floaty, and Exhausted. However, it is probably a good album to put in a 1995 time capsule.

Blunderbuss
Jack White
Overall, this is a great album. To me, it has the perfect mix of keys, guitar, drums along with the unique voice of JW. You can't get bored from track to track. Lyric are interesting and good harmonies and background vocals are included. There are just a few songs I don't need to hear again but 9/13 I love. Not my favorite album of his, but a firm recommendation from me to listen to it. Love that he seems to include some influences from early rock artists The Killer and Elvis in some songs. I see all stars when I see Jack White.

Elvis Presley
Elvis Presley
This is a must-hear for sure for someone who has never heard it. I had not heard this entire album before, but was familiar with almost all songs. It was fun listening to and am still in awe of how much this white boy from the south had such a huge impact on the music we listen to freely today.
