1001 Albums Summary

It was a glimpse into what was becoming new rock. The leap from grunge, at the time, formed the direction of rock. This album really took what made grunge popular and brought in some rap in some tracks. Can't forget "In The End" as a perfect summation of the album as a whole. The guitar riffs throughout the album feel dirty and crisp at the same time. Great album, and lots of memories from this one.

Dear God, skip the first 6 tracks of this album. I don't know what they were thinking, or why someone would say this album is a must listen to when half of it is complete miserable noise. They repeated lyrics more than 96% of music out there. That being said.. the last half is a great album. So, while I enjoyed the latter half, I wouldn't say this is a must listen to album. It almost seemed like Sting wrote half an album and went "damn.. we need more tracks! Let's just lay these ones down!" I only liked 7 and 8 the others not so much

This one is awesome. Really enjoyed it.

Turns out I'm not a funk fan. It seemed like a lot of the times they were saying funk, they were really wanting to say fuck. So, I'm not a fan of the album, but it's personal taste.

This album was a fun listen. It has slick riffs and the messing around tracks like FX and Laguna Sunrise were good breaks from the "action". Overall a good album.

Not a fan of this one. Didn't really seem to jell together. Seemed jarring.
