1001 Albums Summary

Easy listening with a tone that feels quintessential to 1970s smooth folk. No single song stood out as it turned into background music, but as such, I would go back to it.

I've never actively listened to RUN D.M.C but even not expressly knowing them or actively listening to their music, it's amazing how woven into the cultural sphere it and the recognizability of the music on this album. From full songs (Walk This Way, It's Tricky, etc) to samples that have used in other songs over the years (Peter Piper that shows in Missy Elliott's Work It) it's evident how influential, lasting, and phenomenal this album it. I was glad to be prompted to finally listen to this classic.
