1001 Albums Summary

Not a bad album to start off my 1/1001. I do adore swing/jazz. First Count Basie album I've listened in full. Favorite: Duet Least: Splanky

Noise rock in its purest. To the untrained ears (mine's), the wacky guitar riffs are a tough selling point when all the songs sound samey and the lyrics banal. Favorite: mote Least: Mildred Pierce

I get why this was genre-bending at its time of release. Unfortunately I listened to this fully in 2024 so while I enjoyed some songs, a lot of them are pretty forgettable. Favorite: Re-Hash + Left Hand Suzuki Method Least: Latin Simons

Album full of songs that are musically indistinguishable from one another. idk about y'all but i dislike bleating and vacuous political messages

Who's surprised that my favorite song off of this is the one that led to the creation of black-and-white, parental advisory sticker? Not an album that will reshuffle my Top 50 but it's stylish, funky, and romantically perverted. So naturally I like it!

This was a lyrical banger. Some skips, but overall it's fun, catchy, and a perfect Saturday morning album
