1001 Albums Summary

I enjoyed this album. It has a lot of interesting themes of growing up and going through life’s challenges. It definitely wasn’t something that I would usually listen to but Cat Steven’s voice is so soothing and powerful throughout the entire album. For me the highlight of the album is “Sad Lisa”. The first time I heard it I almost cried, it’s such a beautiful and touching song with a wonderful instrumentation.

I thought this album was just okay it had some interesting melodies and it is definitely the perfect album for a club night but I just didn’t really connect to it. That’s not saying it’s bad but I think it’s just average.

I thought this album was really good. It was definitely one of the longest albums I've listened to all the way through with no breaks. Sufjan Stevens has a very calming voice and it goes well with the calming and festive attitude of the album. The piano carried this album though.

I liked this album it's definitely something I'd listen to again. The bass in all the songs is very good and the album itself has an interesting transition from beginning to end.

I didn’t really like this album because it feels like it was trying to be experimental but just ended up sounding generic. it just kind of went in one ear and out the other.
