1001 Albums Summary

Pretty solid album. The songs are quite long so it’s pretty much only good for full album listening. I like the jazzy instrumentals but the vocals weren’t my favorite. The backstory of the album is incredible.

I see where Godsmack got their name from. Not my favorite but the guitars kick ass and I can definitely see how they influenced the bands of the early 2000s. 4.25

Sounds like a bit more punky version of The White Stripes, mixed in with some Tom Morello style riffs here and there. The guitar really is the standout on this album. The vocals bring it down a notch for me, as they just kind of grind on you with a voice that Hayley Williams clearly took inspiration from, but did much better. The lofi effect or whatever on the vocals also doesn’t help. The second half of the album was way better. Solid guitars, bad vocals, bad vocal production. 3.25/5
