R.E.M.
Meh, I mean it's not really my vibe. I like The Smiths aesthetic of the Jangley rock thing better. Not into R.E.M. vocal melodies they sound too loose. Some cool compositional stuff though, interesting guitar parts sometimes.

This album is pretty good. For one of the best selling albums of all time though, it does have quite a few misses imo. Billie Jean is the best track for sure. Also like Wanna be Startin Somethin, Beat it, and P.Y.T. The rest range from mid to downright goofy AND YES THAT INCLUDES THRILLER ITS GOOFY AF

Bad is worse than Thriller. There's like two songs I like. Smooth Criminal is a bop.

This album was fine. No real flow to the album. Lots of instrumental passages that were kinda cool but didn't really reinforce each other. Interesting blend of stuff but ultimately kinda boring

R.E.M.
I'm just not an R.E.M. guy I guess. This sounds like a band's first album. There are definitely some interesting things going on but the songs are pretty boring and the vocals are so blah

Muddy Waters
Just a bunch a blues. I appreciate listening to music that was the foundation of a genre but I'm not sure how often I'll return.

The Madcap Laughs
Syd Barrett
I think Syd Barrett has a really cool approach to writing. His lyrics are kinda surreal and he does a lotta wild chromatic stuff. I think he shined more on Piper which is an album I love but when he's left to his own devices I feel like he wasn't quite mentally healthy enough to bring a solid project together.

This was kinda cool actually lol. I liked the music and the sound of the production but the vocals were too much for me honestly. Obviously campy on purpose but sometimes it was a lil beyond the pale for me

A Wizard, A True Star
Todd Rundgren
This album is fucking crazy. I like Something/Anything a lot so I was pretty hyped for this listen. It kinda reminds me of the Syd Barrett album in that it seems like Todd was really going off and entertaining any wild idea he had. Not nearly as good as the stuff I love from him but it was a cool listen. Lots of weird abrasive noises too. I love the album cover.
